ATTENTION CITIZENS

Message from the Office of the Ministry of National Defense

After multiple reports from space agencies around the world, we have determined that in one week’s time, a meteor, moderate in size, will be impacting Mainland China. Accordingly, we will be issuing systematic evacuations in the target area. This will affect the residents of the Greater Beijing Metropolitan Area (GBMA) and immediate surrounding area. For that reason we will be implementing Martial Law which will be utilized by the People’s Armed Police Force (PAPF).

The first thing that we ask is that all families in the GBMA gather all family members to one location within the city. Subsequently we will be issuing all residents a specific time, direction, and method of departure with all necessary instructions. After all instructions have been distributed, all residents who meet the following criteria will be allowed and encouraged to leave between the hours of 12:01 A.M. Thursday morning and 11:59 P.M. Friday night:

- Posses personal transportation capable of leaving the GBMA

- Have relatives or friends, who live at least 50 miles from the city, with whom you can stay with for one week

Again, we are asking all residents who meets the above criteria to evacuate the city beginning at 12:01 A.M. Thursday morning ending at 11:59 Friday night. Upon departure you will pass through a supply checkpoint at which you will receive an appropriate amount of food, water, and medical supplies. We ask that all citizens leaving during the voluntary evacuation period follow the instructions given to them. This will help prevent complications with high traffic areas, and ensure the proper recording of all citizens who have left to city so that no one is neglected during the next phase of evacuation. After this period military officials will be closing all roads to civilian transportation.

Effective 12:00 A.M. Saturday morning we will begin the mandatory evacuation of all citizens. All citizens should closely follow the instructions given to them to again ensure an organized and timely departure. These citizens will also be passing through checkpoints at which you will receive supplies including food, water, and medical supplies. You will have a designated destination point at which you will be spending one week until assessment of the situation is complete. All citizens departing during this period will be allowed no more than One (1) 50-pound bag or item. This is to ensure that all seats available are used for individuals and not for items. The items you bring will most likely have to be carried on your person at all times. This mandatory evacuation phase will end at 11:59 P.M. Monday morning.

After this mandatory evacuation period military officials will be conducting a systematic sweep of the city to check for any remaining citizens. This sweep will be conducted for a total of 18 hours, ending at 6:00 P.M. Monday night. After this time we will begin to evacuate all military and any remaining civilian personnel. We will have all persons at least 50 miles outside the GBMA by 12:00 P.M. Tuesday. After this point we will allocate all personnel to destination points to ensure that proper supplies and facilities are being provided for all evacuated citizens.

We ask that all individuals be cooperative and follow all printed and oral instructions given by military, government, and medical personnel. This will ensure that all residents are safely evacuated to safe areas outside the city. The Office of the Ministry of National Defense will do everything in its power to ensure the safe evacuation of all citizens.
