From: Chloe Laurent, citizen of EU
Subject: What is important to me
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Chloe Laurent. I am a resident of Paris, France and a student at the University of Paris. I have lived in Paris since I was a child and would never choose to leave because most of my family is from Paris or neighboring towns/cities. While I grew up, my family was a very important part of my life so I consider myself a very family orientated person. There has never been a time where I wasn’t able to see or visit a family member, which I’ve felt to be a privilege not a chore. As a college student I have decided to live with my fellow classmates rather than live at home. The experience has been amazing, however, I never hesitate to visit home.
In regards to this letter, I wanted to make it clear that if a crisis were to occur, my family is most important to me. I would want there to be a clear plan in place for us to be evacuated to a safer destination. In addition, I think it would be important to have a plan once we’ve evacuated. I would hope wherever we go is stable and safe so the crisis would not spread to us. If the crisis were, for example, a pandemic, then there would need to be an ample amount of supplies for us to survive for however long we are there.
If the crisis is a pandemic, my first concern, as I’ve stated is my family, but my second concern would be the creation of a vaccination. It is very important that people who are infected are both treated efficiently and quarantined to avoid any further spread.Above all my family is most important, but if a pandemic occurred the second important factor is the immediate quarantine of the infected. I hope this letter reaches the respective leaders of the EU. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Chloe Laurent
